Watermelon Mash Bash
You've probably seen kids do photoshoots rolling around and playing in watermelon mess...and think "wow I can do that!" Then you think about it more and immediately pictured yourself picking watermelon seeds out of your deck, washing sticky fruit out of hair, and finding watermelon chunks three days later.
Yeah. Let us handle that part.
Join us for our Watermelon Mash Bash, where kids are encouraged to get gloriously, wonderfully, ridiculously messy while we take care of the setup and the cleanup.
We'll have giant pools filled with watermelon for little ones to:
squish
smash
stomp
hammer
burst
splash
and of course eat!
We'll also have a watermelon-themed sensory bins, a fun story time, and a watermelon craft to round out the morning.
Best of all, a professional photographer will be on site capturing the sticky hands and smiles, so you can stay present and enjoy the cuteness.
Bring your kids. We'll bring the watermelon and clean-up. It's a win-win and the perfect way to round out summer.

Wilder Yoga
Yoga in Color returns every first Friday of the month for a children's yoga class with stories, accessible stretching, games and a craft.
Little Baker's Workshop
Join Merrick Mama Bakes at Wild and Wonderful Play Cafe for a hands-on baking adventure! Each little baker will decorate 5 delicious treats and create their very own bakery gift box of sweet treats for someone special. With back-to-school right around the corner, this makes the sweetest gift for your new teacher. We of course won't judge if you want to keep all the goodies for yourself, though.
Workshop includes a 2-hour indoor play session.
Summer enrichment: PJ Brunch Story Time
Roll out of bed and join us for a morning edition of PJ story time!
Saturday August 11 at 11am, we’ll have pancakes, non-alcoholic mimosas, a pillow fight and of course stories and art for everyone!

Summer Enrichment: PJ Story Time and Camping Play
Join Allie from Faeble's Little Library for a night of child enrichment, sensory activities, stories and camping pretend play - all while in PJs! Children will get cozy and enrich all their senses in a pretend camping environment while having the most fun of their day in our climate control play area.

Paint and Sip: a caregiver + kiddo creative workshop!
Calling all artists big and small! Spend some quality time together with this paint + sip workshop for caregiver + kiddo. Join a guided painting class, sip on a complementary drink, and take home your masterpiece at the end of the night.
Baby Hour: Learn Baby Massage
Learn the power and benefits of baby massage in this workshop hosted by Ms. Allie! Through the knowledge and practice of this class, you’ll be able to bring in baby massage to your squishy little baby’s everyday routine. Best for babies under 12 months and their caregivers. The more the merrier! We welcome multiple caregivers at no additional cost. Older siblings are welcome to play in our play area (play session must be purchased.)

Princess Meet and Greet at Ranson Fest and Car Show
Attention! A royal visitor is coming to Ranson!
Wild and Wonderful Play Cafe is partnering with The Enchanted Princess Company DC to bring the icy Queen of Arendelle to our community for a magical morning of play!
Before heading to the kids show at Ranson Fest & Car Show, the Queen will stop by the play cafe for a special private play session where little ones can:

- meet the Queen
- take photos
- enjoy an intimate, air-conditioned morning away from the summer heat

Petal to the Metal: Kid Wreck Room and Indoor Nerf Gun Fight
Give your kids a “YES” day with their own kid-safe rage room and indoor nerf gun battle! Kids can rip cardboard, dump puzzles, rip wrapping paper, untie ribbon to find their own nerf gun to then partake in a fun, safe, indoor battle royale! There will be prizes, music, bubbles, games and contests.

Together Time Art Class
Hey little artists! Join us next week for a special Mini + Me art class with our own painting guru: Miss Catherine! Miss Catherine is in school for art education, and this guided class will walk you through step-by-step on how to paint your own tote bags you'll be proud to carry around!
This is a ticketed event and we need at least 5 sign-ups to proceed! Come paint something beautiful while also burning out some extra energy.
Earth Day - Indoor/Outdoor playtime and crafts
Join us April 22 for indoor/outdoor playtime and crafts with rock painting, flower-planting and garden sensory bins. Ticket includes a play session before or after.
Fit4Mom Class
Fit4Mom Free Workout Class (free class with purchase of a play pass - $10).
The $10 will allow your kids to play in our indoor custom play area.
Workout will be held in the greenery room and kids will be free to come and go as they please.
This workout is intended for parents, but kids are welcome to join in.

Every day of Spring Break we’re bringing something new and exciting to Wild and Wonderful Play Cafe!
Yoga in Color will be here teaching two yoga classes on Friday April 10! Yoga in Color's mission is to help children to connect with themselves, each other, and the world around them. She believes in nurturing the whole child - mind, body, and spirit, in a playful way - think taking deep breaths by blowing bubbles, pretending to be an animal to hit different poses. The normal yoga things, but made for kids!

March Madness: Toddler/Kid Rave
Rage the night away (and maybe embarrass your kids with your dance moves...) on Saturday March 21 from 6-8pm!
Music, professional DJ lighting, glow sticks, balloon drop, games, special drinks and more. Playlist is a mix of kid-friendly music and clean millenial club songs...it's not just a kid party. It's a parent party and it's going to be lit!

Storytime - every Wednesday at 10am!
We’re proud to partner with Faeble’s Little Library every Wednesday at 10am to provide a FREE storyime + exploration art project.
Allie, from Faeble’s Little Library, has a degree in art and a passion for early childhood development. Her mission is to provide a beneficial creative outlet that allows toddlers to be…well, toddlers. Her story times are gentle, forgiving, and FUN. She not only allows wiggles and for kids to move around, but encourages it.
The art projects are one of a kind and so thoughtfully designed to allow for little hands to explore, learn and create.

Read Across America Week
Read Across America is making its way to Wild and Wonderful Play Cafe!
At WWPC, we believe that education is power and should always be spread and celebrated.
There will be a themed story time and craft (included with normal admission!) every day the week of March 3 at 10am, as well as a Dr. Seuss drink flight for both kids and grown-ups to share.
Anyone who participates in spirit week by dressing up will get 29% off your drink order (including the new Dr. Seuss flight coming out in March) in honor of the 29th annual Read Across America week!
Tiny Turkey Turn-Up: Parent's Night Out
You’re trying to clean the house and make dinner for 17 people, but Frozen is playing for the 8th time since 10am. You just got hit in the head with a nerf gun. Then slip on…something wet and slimy. You’re not even sure what it is. You’re overstimulated.

Girl Scout's Presents: Parent's Night Out
The Girl Scout’s Presents: Parent’s Night Out at Wild and Wonderful Play Cafe!
Girl Scouts Troop 15006 will be hosting a Parent's Night Out on November 21! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the troop to help fund their trip to NY for the Girl Scout's National Convention.
The Girl Scouts have all earned their babysitting badge and have prepared playtime, games and a craft for the evening.
Drop off your little ones at 6pm and take a much-needed night off while the Girl Scouts play, read and teach your kids. Three adults will also be supervising. :)
Pick-up is at 9pm.

Every week, we host recurring events at the same time! All are included with your play session so you can just join in on the fun while you’re there.
Baby Hour
Every Sunday at 11am
Baby Hour was created by Lizz after she had her second daughter. After suffering from horrible postpartum anxiety with her first, she knew how important it was to get out of the house and talk with other parents about the many ups and downs that come that first year with a new, beautiful human. We’ve partnered with Allie Ejem, an expert in baby/child development to lead these weekly sessions. She keeps them not only supportive, but informative! Each month will tackle a new topic and also include story times, songs and activities designed for babies.
Ages: 12 months and under (we know everyone develops at their own pace. If you think your baby would still gain benefit from something like this, please bring them!)
Older siblings are welcome to join and play while class is in session.
$5 for a class. FREE when no class is planned.
Story Time
Every Wednesday at 10am
At Wild and Wonderful Play Cafe, we believe that reading is magical and the doorway to adventures. We’re proud to bring a story time every week included in the purchase of a place pass. Our story times are so much more than getting toddlers to sit still. We know that children get value from books even when they’re on the move. We design our story times to flow with the children attending. There are songs, dance breaks, bubbles and a hands-on process art project that goes way beyond your typical coloring page. Each week shows a different theme from forest animals, to dinosaurs, to food and weather and anything children might be interested in! Get cozy with a coffee and your best little human for a morning of learning, creativity and movement.
Ages: all! We welcome everyone from 0-10. We try to do a little something for everyone!
Price: FREE with play pass admission. Saving your play spot ahead of time is recommended. Select any Wednesday and choose a time slot that coincides with 10am.
Low-Sensory Hours
Every first Thursday 1-3pm
For anyone who needs a lower stimulating play session, we offer low-sensory play hours monthly the first Thursday of the month from 1-3pm. We turn down the lights, play relaxing music and keep the vibes calm. All are welcome, but we ask children keep it chill for our low-sensory-seeking friends.
Ages: all are welcome!
Price: regular price of a play session. Select the first Thursday of the month and select any hours that coincide with 1-3pm to plan you visit.
