FAQs

  • What is a play cafe?

A play café is part coffee shop, part indoor play space for children. We have hand built all of our Montessori-inspired play equipment and serve locally roasted coffee to provide a top tier hometown experience.

  • Is this a daycare?

No - parents are responsible for their children and any kids left unsupervised will be forced to learn latte art! (But really, we are not licensed as a daycare and will take necessary precautions should any children be left without caregivers.)

  • What is the age limit for the play equipment?

The play equipment is designed for kids 0-7 years old. To track our capacity, we ask that any child of any age who enters the play structures must pay for a play pass and sign a waiver. Kids older than 7 should play gentle and be respectful of our little guests. If rough play ensues, we will ask that they sit with the parents in another area of the play cafe.

  • Can I host my child's birthday at your space?

Of course! We have a private party room to rent out for either 3 hours or a full day where you can decorate to your liking and bring in your own catering. Our private party room can also be rented out for homeschooling, book clubs, meet ups, game nights - whatever you can imagine!

We do ask that any groups of 15 (adults + children) or more either call ahead to reserve a play time or rent the party room so that we can accommodate within our occupancy levels. Visit Private Events to book a party.

  • Kids are germy...is that going to be a problem?

We prioritize cleanliness and non-toxic sanitation best practices at Wild and Wonderful Play Café. Our brand new HVAC system includes a UV air filter to provide the cleanest air and our flooring is anti-microbial which is a fancy way to say: the germs don't stay there for long! Everything is cleaned and sanitized daily and we even close on Fridays for If you or your child are sick, please consider staying home until you're feeling better!

  • What should I know before coming in?

Great question! If it's your first time visiting, there are a few things you should do before you even leave the house.

    1. Sign our waiver. It makes the check-in process significantly faster if you're already in the system!

    2. Make sure your kids are wearing socks. It makes things cleaner, quieter and safer.

  • Where do I park?

The building is surrounded by ample free street parking. Please be respectful of our awesome neighbors and watch out for our friendly stray cats who might dart across the road. S. George St. is lovely, quiet and doesn't have too much traffic so it shouldn't be an issue! If you have a stroller, please try to leave it outside so we can keep the play cafe as clear as possible.

  • What do I do when I arrive?

Once you're parked and in the facility, you'll come to the front counter where someone will greet you to get you signed in. Hopefully you've signed your waiver already and this will be really quick! Your kiddos will remove their shoes and store them in a cubby and you, mama (or dad!) are free to relax.
